Diablo Cody to Make Directorial Debut

Diablo Cody is perhaps best known as the Oscar-winning screenwriter of 2007’s Juno, but she’s been busy the past few years, creating the now-defunct Showtime series The United States of Tara and writing films, including the Megan Fox horror flick Jennifer’s Body.

Steering her career in a new direction, Cody has announced plans to make her directorial debut with a film that she has also penned. The comedy, Lamb of God, chronicles the story of a young Christian woman who loses her faith after a plane crash. Afterwards, she heads to Vegas to pursue a new career as a stripper but winds up rediscovering Jesus along the way.

Information regarding the cast and release date for the project have yet to be released, but Cody has announced that Juno producer Mason Novick is onboard for the film.
