James Murphy to Cook at Le Fooding

Now that James Murphy has put LCD Soundsystem to bed, he can focus on his other hobbies.

Murphy, a noted foodie, is scheduled to cook alongside esteemed chefs and food enthusiasts at Le Fooding, the French Food festival that celebrates music’s connection (or lack thereof) with fine cuisine.

Director, Anna Polonsky, told Grub Street, “The idea is that the food is really bad at music concerts and at the same time, when you go to really good restaurants, it’s sometimes not so fun.”

The participating bands have yet to confirm, but Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore has expressed interest in the event.

Le Fooding kicks off on Sept. 17 and tickets will go on sale in August.
