Martin Short to Guest Star on How I Met Your Mother

There’s one more Canuck to join Cobie Smulders’ Robin Scherbatsky on How I Met Your Mother.

CBS revealed to Vulture that Martin Short will guest star on the hit sitcom, with a recurring role as Marshall’s (Jason Segel) new boss.

At the end of last season, we saw Marshall interviewing for a position at an environmental law firm with the firm’s boss, played by Dave Foley. CBS did not confirm whether Short will take over Foley’s character or whether he will be a new boss at a different firm.

Short, who appeared on Damages last year, will also guest star on Weeds this season.

Foley will be staring in a new CBS sitcom How to Be a Gentleman, which debuts this fall.
