The Flaming Lips and Passion Pit to Headline Moogfest 2011

Asheville will pay homage to Dr. Robert Moog again this Halloween season. Headlining the electronic dance party are a multitude of synth-friendly acts, including Passion Pit, The Flaming Lips and a special performance from electronic punk rockers Suicide.

Moogfest will take place at three different locations in the North Carolina city: the Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and the Orange Peel.

The festival will take place Oct. 28-30. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 4 at 12 p.m. Official details can be found at moogfest.com.
