Our round-up of notable news from the world of gaming for the week of May 30, 2011.

• Blizzard has unveiled the first large amount of information regarding the upcoming Starcraft II expansion, Heart of the Swarm. The new campaign will focus on the Zerg race, and will feature Sarah Kerrigan, the former Queen of Blades, as a playable hero unit.
• Rockstar announced a new way to access DLC for L.A. Noire, the Rockstar Pass, which for a one-time purchase price will provide access to various DLC cases as the become available.
• Legendary RPG Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri is coming to GOG, alongside several other classic games.
• We got our first look at the gameplay of Journey, the next game from Jenova Chen, creator of Flow and Flower.
• A first person shooter is being developed entitled Aliens: Colonial Marines set in the world of James Cameron’s Alien series.
