Holy cameo, Batman!
The man who originated television’s first caped crusader, Adam West, just might make an appearance in The Dark Knight Rises.
FLOSS Magazine announced on its Twitter page, "’Hollywood big wigs confirmed actor Adam West(Batman on the TV series) will make a cameo on “The Dark Knight Rises” set to open July 20, 2012.’"
West had previously expressed interest in appearing in the films. In 2008, it was reported that he said, “I like Christian Bale. I’ve heard he’s a big fan of mine, but I certainly reciprocate. I think he’s really very good. I’d love to play his father. The older Batman comes out of the woodwork, when times get really tough…maybe a few tips here and there.”
Unfortunately for West, Batman’s father was killed in the first movie. But we’re keen to see what role he’ll take in The Dark Knight Rises, which opens next summer.
