British Sea Power Biography Set for Release

Penned by their brother and former manager Roy Wilkinson, U.K. rockers British Sea Power are the subjects of a new book to be released by the indie outfit’s label, Rough Trade.

Proving that it’s never too early in the game to sell one’s life story, Do it For Your Mum: One Band, One Dad, One World War-A Story Of British Sea Power, Rock Dreams And Family Farce, chronicles the group’s journey from their beginnings in the small village of Natland and explores their eventual rise to success and experiences dealing with the band as a family business.

Various musicians make appearances throughout the book, which is scheduled to be published Sept. 5, including The Strokes, The Libertines, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys.
