Christina Hendricks to Star in Chris Colfer-Penned Comedy

Chris Colfer, aka Glee’s Kurt Hummel, is now a quadruple-threat, adding script-writing next to singing, dancing and acting on his resume.

The Emmy-nominated actor has penned a coming-of-age comedy, titled Struck By Lightning, which, as you might guess, begins with his character getting hit by lightning. After this event, flashbacks reveal how he blackmailed high school peers to write for a literary magazine.

Fellow Emmy nominee Christina Hendricks of Mad Men has been cast in the film, along with Sarah Hyland of Modern Family, Angela Kinsey of The Office, Allison Janney and Dermot Mulroney.

Struck By Lightning will be directed by Brian Dannelly and is slated for a 2012 release.
