Universal Pictures has acquired the distribution rights to a new project from Gold Circle Films called Pitch Perfect, Variety reports.
Little is known about the plot, except that it is a comedy based on a novel by Mickey Rapkin and is set in the world of college a capella.
Pitch Perfect will be scripted by 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon and directed by Avenue Q director Jason Moore. Elizabeth Banks and husband Max Handelman will produce the film via their Brownstone Productions company.
No release date for the film has been set thus far.
