San Francisco indie rock duo Girls posted a very vague widget on their Facebook today.
Under the posting on their Facebook wall are just the words, “what what comes.” When you click the link, small phrases start to appear on the screen. Perhaps a look into the band’s recording future?
Earlier today, a lot of speculation surrounded the random bouts of words popping up on the screen. The sentences are shorter when they first start appearing, and many people thought they might represent song titles for the band’s sophomore LP.
Other than the “Girls Reveal” heading and “What What Comes,” the band hasn’t commented on the strange posting. From the looks of it, the phrases are more likely to be song lyrics than song titles.
Some of the captions include, “I miss the way life was when you were my girl,” and “You will love me, for all the reasons everyone hates me.” Another potential lyric reads, “Mama, she really loved me, even when I was bad.”
