Second Friday Night Lights Movie a Possibility?

Going from book to movie to TV series, Friday Night Lights has enjoyed quite a ride. Rumors are circulating that Hollywood may not be ready to let go of the high school football franchise just yet, and a big screen continuation of the TV series may be in the works.

Grantland editor-in-chief Bill Simmons tweeted that FNL mastermind Peter Berg said he “wants to do an FNL movie with Chandler/Britton off the final episode.”

However, East Dillon fans shouldn’t get too excited just yet. While Berg has expressed his interest to multiple sources, the project is still not a sure thing. Universal Pictures, who produced the first flick, told TVLine, “We do not currently have a FNL project in development.”
