Robert Smith’s cover of John Martyn’s “Small Hours” recently debuted on BBC Radio 6 Music.

The perpetually melancholy frontman of The Cure recorded the song as part of a tribute album for the late British music legend titled Johnny Boy Would Love This…A Tribute to John Martyn.

Other artists contributing to the record include Beck, Snow Patrol and Bombay Bicycle Club.
