Mumford & Sons Debut a New Song
It’s been a busy summer for Mumford & Sons.
After an extensive U.S. tour, playing Bonnaroo and Glastonbury festivals and headlining London’s Hyde Park concert, the British Americana rockers have been busy recording their highly anticipated sophomore album.
During a stint in Colorado, the band dropped by radio station KBCO to perform a song called “Home.” Though fans have already gotten a taste of new material at several Mumford shows, this is the first quality recording that has appeared online.
While “Home” lacks the foot-stomping, banjo-ridden melodies dominant in Sigh No More, it is filled with Marcus’ heartfelt, growling vocals, sharp harmonies and expert instrumentals—all of which are promising of another successful record by these U.K. favorites.
