Since 2006’s Idlewild, the Outkast name has been more or less out of commission, with Big Boi and André 3000 both working on their respective solo efforts.
According to HipHopWired.com, a “rock solid industry source” has said that the duo will release a new album early next year after they each release a solo album sometime this year.
Label disputes wouldn’t allow so much as a verse from André on Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. Outkast fans may finally get their fix, though they’ve been given false hope before.
