Trent Reznor Tells Fans Not to Buy New NIN Reissue

You’ve got to appreciate Trent Reznor’s honesty. The Nine Inch Nails mastermind took to Twitter to discredit the latest reissue of the band’s first record, Pretty Hate Machines.

NIN fans, don’t waste your money on this version of PHM that was just released…a record label bullshit move repackaging the old version. Ignore please,” Reznor tweeted yesterday.

The release seemed suspicious enough coming so soon after last year’s reissue of the album, which was remastered by Reznor himself with the help of engineer Tom Baker. A note on the band’s online catalogue doesn’t exactly do much to sell the reissue either, saying that the reissue is “very similar to original TVT version” and clarifying that it’s “not a remastered release.”
