Comedy Central Greenlights New Animated Series Brickleberry

Comedy Central announced today that they will be adding a new animated show to their repertoire. Comedy Central/Fox 21 co-production Brickleberry follows the misadventures of a group of dysfunctional forest rangers as they try to save their national park from closure. The new show’s executive producers are comedian Daniel Tosh (of the popular Tosh.0) and series writers/creators Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, who were the minds behind MTV2’s 2005 sketch comedy show Stankervision.

The network has so far placed an order for 10 episodes, with production scheduled to begin this fall for an early 2012 debut. Fans of Tosh can rejoice in knowing he’ll be voicing a character himself, bringing along his particular brand of irreverent humor made famous in his TV show and stand-up comedy performances.
