Common's Memoirs To Be Published Next Month

On Sept. 13, Common’s memoirs One Day It’ll All Make Sense, will be released through Atria Books. After the success of Jay-Z’s book of memoirs from last year, Common’s book is already getting big endorsements from people like Maya Angelou, who is featured with a glowing quote on the cover of the book.

The book describes his life growing up on Chicago’s South Side and the trials of his coming-of-age success story that explain the man behind the “conscious rap.” Each chapter of the book starts with a personal letter sent to someone close to him, including frequent collaborator Kanye West and ex-girlfriend Erykah Badu.
