David Bowie's "Space Oddity" Becomes a Children's Book

David Bowie’s 1969 space rock classic “Space Oddity” has been illustrated as a children’s book by artist Andrew Kolb. The images are set to the lyrics of the song, which details the story of fictional astronaut Major Tom and his failed space adventure. According to the artist on his website,

“The long and short of it is that I love music and there are some songs out there that, when I listen to them, paint such vivid images in my mind. Case in point: Space Oddity by David Bowie. So, because I figured ‘Why not?’, I’ve constructed a children’s book around the lyrics of this classic song.”

There’s no physical release of the book, but a full PDF is available free for download here.
