Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawrence has recorded a song for her new movie, The Hunger Games. “Rue’s Lullaby” was recorded with famed producer, T Bone Burnett, who is working on music for the film with Danny Elfman.
The duo recorded Lawrence back in June, and Burnett recently stated, “She did great. She’s singing great. Killer actor too.” Though the track is finished and ready for release, Burnett and Elfman are in the beginning stages of writing the score. The story is set in hundreds of years in the future giving the musicians “all sorts of liberties” than a modern day film would.
The film is slated for release in March of next year with the soundtrack also being released in early spring.
