Animal Collective member Noah Lennox, commonly known as Panda Bear, released Tomboy earlier this year to a healthy level of critical acclaim. Now he’s rolling out the deluxe vinyl edition of his sophomore effort.
According to a press release, Tomboy will be reissued as a box set containing four vinyl LPs. The first two records will comprise the tracks from the album over four sides. The third record will contain a collection of single remixes, while the fourth will be split between instrumental and a capella versions of album tracks.
Fans and vinyl collectors will need to act fast, as only 5,000 copies of the box set will be pressed.
Moreover, Panda has continued his gradual leak of show announcements. A show Oct. 2 at Brooklyn’s Masonic Temple is the newest confirmed date, with at least one more New York show rumored to be announced soon. This brings the official list of upcoming Panda Bear shows to five, beginning with an appearance at Philadelphia’s POPPED! Music Festival Sept. 23.
