TeenNick Plans to Shake Up Their '90s Nostalgia Block
When TeenNick announced they were going to play shows from the ’90s two hours a night a few months ago, fans in their mid-twenties were beyond ecstatic. Shows like The Adventures of Pete & Pete, All That, Rugrats and The Amanda Show made their way onto the airwaves and gave TeenNick a double digit boost in ratings. Generation Y was happy; good television returned to the world.
However, TeenNick has announced that they are going to shake up their “The 90s Are All That” programming block on Sept. 5 by adding Hey Arnold! and Rocko’s Modern Life to their Tuesday and Thursday night lineup. The two shows they are bumping are Doug, one of the original Nick Toons, and Clarissa Explains It All.
Fear not though. Those two will still air on Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week. It has only been a month, but with the network expanding the programming block already, many fans hope to see other shows re-premiere in the near future. Perhaps Clarissa should go the the network executives and explain how amazing those shows from the ’90s truly were.
