Watch Neon Indian’s Insane Synthesizer Infomercial

It isn’t every day you can get an actual instrument when you buy a record, but Neon Indian is changing that by including a custom-made synthesizer with the purchase of the new album Era Extraña.

And now, Neon Indian mastermind Alan Palomo will even show you how to use it. In a VHS-warped late-night promo titled “Step Into the World With Your PAL198X,” the frontman shows off the features of the Bleep-Labs designed synthesizer. It’s actually pretty simple to use — it’s got three oscillators that can be controlled by knobs or, really any device that you attach it to. The synthesizer is plugged into a lava lamp, played by a cat’s tail and a toothbrush. You can check it out below.
