Colin Meloy's <i>Wildwood</i> Being Turned Into Stop-Motion Film

Colin Meloy’s book Wildwood just came out at the end of last month and already plans are being made for the film version.

The book has been optioned by animation studio LAIKA, who brought Neil Gaiman’s Coraline to life.

Wildwood follows young Prue McKeel and her friend Curtis as they try to find Prue’s baby brother, who was taken away by a group of crows. The book is the first in what’s expected to be a trilogy.
