iPhone 5 To Be Unveiled October 4

After over a year of anticipation, Apple will be announcing their iPhone 5 on October 4th at Cupertino, California.

Most ideas of what the new phone will feature are just rumors, even after an apparent version of the iPhone 5 was found several weeks ago. Invitations to the event have the phrase “Let’s talk iPhone” on them, a possible hint at Assistant, a talk-control feature for the iPhone that has been rumored for a while.

Assistant would allow the phone’s user to simply talk to the phone and be able to set up calendar appointments, send text messages, emails and more. The feature would also allow you to ask your phone where one of your friends are and given they have allowed it, their location will appear on the phone’s map.

This is just one of the possible enhancements that may be announced on October 4. Other ideas include more aspects that will make the gap between iPhone and iPad smaller. We’ll just have to wait till next week to find out more.
