Mogwai Postpones Remaining Tour Dates

Citing “medical reasons,” Scottish post-rock veterans Mogwai have postponed the rest of their U.S. shows, including an “I’ll Be Your Mirror” performance at All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in Asbury Park, N.J. on Oct. 2.

Though only six dates remain on the band’s tour schedule, all of them were already rescheduled after the band had to previously postpone them in April due to delays in visa processing.

An official statement from Mogwai’s website reads:

It is with the utmost regret that for medical reasons we have to postpone our American shows this week and cancel the I’ll Be Your Mirror performance. We will announce new dates as soon as possible and apologise for the last minute nature of this announcement.

The dates postponed are:

sept 2011
26 new york, ny, usa – webster hall
27 new york, ny, usa – webster hall
28 philadelphia, pa, usa – union transfer
29 washington, dc, usa – 9.30 club

oct 2011
1 boston, ma, usa – house of blues
2 asbury park, nj, usa – atp ‘i’ll be your mirror’

It’s highly likely the dates will be rescheduled for a later date, but no further details have been revealed.
