Production on The Wolverine Delayed Until Summer 2012, Ryan Reynolds Still Set for Deadpool

In an interview with Hitfix, Lauren Shuler Donner (producer on all five X-Men films) revealed that production for The Wolverine has been delayed yet again, this time all the way to summer 2012 if not further. She explained that the latest delay is to make time for Hugh Jackman’s role in Tom Hooper’s film adaptation of Les Misérables.

Shuler Donner also confirmed that Ryan Reynolds is still set to reprise his role as the wisecracking assassin Deadpool in the upcoming Origins spin-off starring the character, which has yet to be titled. Check out the entire interview here.
