Samuel L. Jackson Confirmed for Tarantino's Django Unchained

As Quentin Tarantino fills out the cast for his newest film Django Unchained, the writer-director will be reuniting with one of his favorites for their fifth film together: Samuel L. Jackson.

Jackson has signed on to play Stephen, a house slave. Django Unchained tells the story of a slave who after being freed, teams up with a German bounty hunter to rescue his wife from a plantation owner. Playing Django will be Jamie Foxx; the plantation owner Calvin Candie will be played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and the German bounty hunter will be played by Christoph Waltz. Gerald McRaney has also been added to the cast, but his role is unknown for the time being. Also rumored to be cast is Kevin Costner, however no confirmation has been made as to whether he will make an appearance yet.

Django Unchained will begin shooting in New Orleans in January.
