<i>Source Code</i> to Become TV Show

Earlier this year, Source Code, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, became a surprise hit and received mostly rave reviews. Now only a few months after its release, CBS has announced plans to turn the film’s premise into a TV show.

The show, which will also be called Source Code, will follow three former federal agents that use the “source code” program to jump into the lives of other people before various horrific events.

The show will be produced by ABC Studios for CBS, marking the first time the studio has made a show for someone other than their own network.

Also interesting is the fact that writer Ben Ripley and director Duncan Jones were not given the option to work on the show.
