Stone Temple Pilots Postpone Remainder of Tour

Following an order from his doctor, Stone Temple Pilots lead vocalist Scott Weiland has been ordered to give his voice a rest immediately, forcing the band to postpone the remaining four dates of their summer tour.

According to a statement on the band’s Facebook page, Weiland was diagnosed with a “tremendously inflamed” right vocal chord as well as likely scarring on his left one.

Due to fears that, were Weiland to continue singing on STP’s final tour dates, he could very likely suffer a vocal hemorrhage and cause irreversible damage, the band immediately called off the remaining shows, promising to reschedule all of them in addition to offering refunds to those unable to make the rescheduled dates.

The only Stone Temple Pilots show that has been officially rescheduled so far is the Concho, Okla., date, which will now occur Nov. 5. More details will be solidified soon.
