X-Files Star Wants a Third Film

X-Files star Gillian Anderson is like all of us: she still loves the series and wants a new movie. Though the second film, I Want to Believe was not as stellar as the series or the original movie, Andrews says executives are still talking about making it a trilogy.

She recently was on an Australian talk show and said, “I hope it will happen. There’s talk of it.” Anderson also stated that she would want the film to be a spoof of itself. It’s doubtful that producers will go for that, but they’ll most likely use the film to further the story of Mulder and Scully.
