Aaron Sorkin Courted to Write Steve Jobs Screenplay
The L.A. Times is reporting that the Academy Award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is being courted to write the script for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. Earlier we reported on the fact that Sony Pictures had acquired the rights to the project, and now it seems it’s coming together quickly.
Sorkin seems a natural fit having previously written about another notoriously difficult Silicon Valley entrepreneur in 2010’s The Social Network, though his own personal friendship with the late Jobs could prove problematic, especially considering that biopics are normally held off for a few years after an individual’s passing.
Regardless of how the project eventually comes together, if the global outpouring of condolence for Jobs’ death is any indicator, the film is guaranteed to bring out moviegoers in droves.
