Assassin’s Creed Latest Video Game to Become Movie
In Ubisoft’s latest step to becoming a multimedia company, Sony is close to an agreement to make a movie based on the video game franchise Assassin’s Creed.
Ubisoft already has plans to move their Rayman Raving Rabbids franchise into a television show for Nickelodeon and Sony has been interested in bringing video game franchises onto the silver screen with games like Uncharted and Infamous both planned for adaptations.
Since 2007, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has had three games on current household consoles, selling over 30 million copies, and with the fourth game Assassin’s Creed: Revelations to be released on November 15.
Yves Guillemot, chief of Ubisoft has said that he would like many of Ubisoft’s high-profile titles, including Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon to be made into films.
