The Washington Post, via Associated Press, is reporting that legendary rock and roll photographer Barry Feinstein passed away early this morning at the age of 80, as confirmed by his agent Dave Brolan. Feinstein captured many behind the scenes images from rock and roll’s golden age, and shot numerous iconic album covers, including the cover for Bob Dylan’s 1964 album The Times They Are A-Changin’ and the cover of George Harrison’s 1970 album All Things Must Pass.

The prolific photographer captured a variety of subjects, from musicians Eric Clapton and Miles Davis to Hollywood stars like Marlon Brando and Marlene Dietrich. Check out Feinstein’s website here to see a large sample of his iconic works.
