Community Planning Holiday Musical Episode

NBC’s Community is staging a Christmas-themed musical episode. TVLine.com reports that the cult hit is stepping it up a notch and will produce an entire musical episode much like Glee with all original songs.

Last year’s animated Christmas episode won the show a creative Emmy and was one of the most memorable episodes that season. The article says that an insider to the show “finds the study group being forced to fill in for Greendale’s glee club during the always-busy holiday season.”

Saturday Night Live’s Taran Killam was recently reported to be guest starring as the choir director in the episode.
