DirecTV To Soon Drop Several Fox Cable Stations

On Nov. 1, DirecTV subscribers could possibly notice that they are missing several of their favorite Fox cable networks.

The two are having trouble negotiating a new deal that would allow many channels like FX, National Geographic Channel and FuelTV to be wiped clean from their television provider. DirecTV has said that Fox wants a 40 percent increase, while Fox has responded they want a deal more like their deals with other providers.

KeepMyNets has been set up to protest DirecTV’s decision and features Fox’s official press statement. Several show creators for FX projects have come out to argue against the possible ruling. Sons of Anarchy executive producer Kurt Sutter released a PSA, while American Horror Story creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have released their own video, as has It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia creator Rob McElhenney.
