Hole Cancel Festival Appearance After Being Scheduled to Play Before Limp Bizkit

It common enough to hear rock-stars act unreasonable and diva-like, but this is an instance where it’s hard to not side with the artist. As NME reports, Hole have pulled out of the Soundwave Festival in Australia after learning they’d be opening up for Limp Bizkit.

“What bloody flight of crazed fancy made you think we’d open for Limp Bizkit dude? No offence, that’s nuts,” frontwoman Courtney Love tweeted at event promoter A.J. Maddah.

Maddah responded to Love’s angry tweets later that day, stating that he wasn’t interested in getting her back on board for the festival:

“Like we were going to ask (Courtney Love) permission every time we book a band,” Maddah tweeted. “No point taking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up and act like a rotten twat to other artists and fans. I am really mad about this. I was given so many assurances that this would not happen when I took the booking.”
