Jim Carrey Joining Steve Carell in Dueling Magician Film

While Steve Carell and Jim Carrey fought for an anchor position in Bruce Almighty, they’ll be coming head-to-head once again in Burt Wonderstone.

Carell will play the title character Wonderstone, who is a Vegas magician who loses his partner in a stunt gone wrong. Carell must find again what he loved about magic, all while going against a rival magician who will supposedly be played by Carrey.

Up in the Air and Thank You For Smoking writer Jason Reitman has recently written a draft of the script. The film is being directed by Don Scardino, who will be making his film directorial debut after a long history in directing TV shows like 30 Rock, Law & Order and Cosby.
