Amy Winehouse's Dad to Publish Memoir About Her Life
Mitch Winehouse, father of the late Amy Winehouse, has inked a deal with HarperCollins to write a memoir of the English soul singer’s life, chronicling her upbringing, ascent to stardom and battle against drug addiction.
According to NME, the memoir’s official title will be Amy, My Daughter, and Winehouse has said the process of writing it will serve “to tell the true story of Amy and to help with [his] personal recovery.”
Amy, My Daughter is scheduled for a worldwide release in the summer of 2012. All proceeds from the book will go directly to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was founded by the singer’s father to help people struggling with adversity and addiction.
