Oliver Stone to Direct Robert Moses Biopic for HBO

Three-time Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone will direct an adaptation of Robert Caro’s 1974 Pulitzer Prize-winning The Power Broker, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Caro’s text is a biography of the controversial Robert Moses, an urban planner largely responsible for the modernization of New York City following the Great Depression, often referred to as New York City’s “Master Builder.”

Stone will also be producing the project alongside Peter Guber and Sopranos star James Gandolfini. Nicholas Meyer (The Prince of Egypt, Collateral Damage) is writing the script.
