Radiohead Streaming Remix Album, Planning DJ Release Party

Radiohead has been a remix-friendly group for over a decade, even allowing fans to remix their songs. But new album The King of Limbs has yielded a markedly greater amount of remix treatment than anything before it.

From July through September, the band released a series of 12” vinyl singles containing two to three remixes each, and now all seven installments will be released as a two-disc compilation album, TKOL RMX 1234567, due out Monday, Oct. 10.

To celebrate, Radiohead is hosting a release party the following night at London’s Corsica Studios, where Thom Yorke will join forces with Caribou, Jamie XX, Lone and Illum Sphere for a monstrous three-hour DJ set. The entire performance will be broadcast live on Radiohead and The Boiler Room websites around 8 p.m. U.K. time — meaning around 3 p.m. Eastern time.
