According to The Wrap, everyone’s favorite neighborhood Blockbuster-killer now has its eye on the online streaming business. As they announced earlier this year, Redbox will unveil their online streaming plans by the end of this year.
In more pressing news, Redbox seems eager to relive the nightmare that was Netflix’s pricing change earlier this year by announcing their first price change in eight years. This weekend they announced a 20 percent increase in price, bringing up one-day DVD rentals to $1.20. Speaking of the price change, the interim president of Redbox said in the announcement that, “The new price point is the result of rising operating expenses including recent changes to debit card fees.”
The pricing change will take place starting Dec. 1.

Changes being made all over the place, I am glad to know about DISH Network's Blockbuster Movie Pass. Being a DISH subscriber I now can get over 100,000 games, TV shows and DVDs mailed to me which is such a huge convenience. Not to mention working for DISH I can tell you there won’t be no more late fees or extra fees for Blu-ray movies.
