River Phoenix's Final Film Dark Blood To Be Released
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor River Phoenix’s final unfinished film project, George Sluizer’s Dark Blood, will be completed and screened after having been on hold for 18 years since the young actor’s death by drug overdose. Sluizer apparently kept the footage hidden for fear of it being destroyed.
The director plans to have River’s brother, actor Joaquin Phoenix, to do the voice over of River’s character, Boy, a young widower who lives on a nuclear testing site and spends his time making dolls. The long-awaited film is set to be released in 2012.
