• Square Enix this week showed off its new graphics engine, which produces photo-realistic landscapes and settings.

• Portal designed Kim Swift said in a recent interview that her next game will be a return to her Portal roots.
• A spin-off to Bit.Trip Runner has been announced, entitled Runner 2.
• Studio Ghibli/Level 5 title Ni No Kuni will see a western release thanks to Namco-Bandai.
