Wavves' Nathan Williams Announces Video Game

As Pitchfork previously reported, Wavves’ Nathan Williams announced that he’s making his own video game. It’s got an old-school Atari approach, which will have the feel of games like Paperboy or early Simpsons games. “Remember when I said we were making a video game?” Williams said on Twitter. “I wasn’t lying.”

He also tweeted a screenshot of the game. Here’s what Williams had to say about the upcoming game:

“All I can say for now is we are in the early stages of building levels and characters. The premise is sort of a nightmare and the majority of the game will play like [the 1984 Atari game] Paperboy on acid or early Simpsons NES titles… and remember in the original Paperboy you get chased by zombies, tornadoes, and death so this shit gets pretty wild. Our good friends at [the fashion line] MISHKA are helping as well.”
