Now that the World Series is entering a deciding and exciting seventh game, Entertainment Weekly has reported networks are forced to deal with moving shows or competing against one of the most thrilling Series in recent memory.
Obviously the most prominent change is that Fox (who is airing the MLB Fall Classic) now has to move the episode of their Friday night cult sci-fi hit Fringe to next week, meaning the return of one of the main characters will agonize fans of the show for seven more days. This comes after postponing new episodes of New Girl and Glee earlier in the month until Nov. 1.
Other networks must now compete against the showdown between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals. NBC will take the biggest hit when the delayed final season premiere of Chuck and the series premiere of Grimm will air directly against the entire block Fox has dedicated to the baseball game.
