Zombieland Writers Making Micronauts Movie, Zombieland TV Show
This week, the writers of Zombieland have announced that not only are they writing a film based on the Hasbro toys Micronauts, but they’re also working on a Zombieland TV show.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will write Micronauts, which will be produced by Paramount Pictures and JJ Abrams. The film is being discussed as a scaled-down version of Transformers.
In addition to this, discussions have started to bring Zombieland to the small screen as early as the 2012-13 TV season. While this may seem unusual, the original film started off as a pilot for a TV show. Now with the success of The Walking Dead, the possibility of a Zombieland TV show seems more possible now than ever.
Since writing their breakthrough script for Zombieland, the writing duo has had a number of high-profile projects come their way, including G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, which is now filming, and Deadpool, which will star Ryan Reynolds.
