Benicio Del Toro May Play Villain in Star Trek 2

With a majority of the cast already in place for Star Trek 2, the main question is who will play the villain in the sequel. According to Variety, the choice may be Benicio Del Toro.

Del Toro met with J.J. Abrams to discuss playing the villain in the highly anticipated sequel. Even after the meeting, Del Toro apparently still doesn’t know who he would be playing in the film, in typical secretive Abrams fashion.

Eric Bana, who is supposedly not reprising his role, played the villain in the previous film. Abrams recently signed on to direct the sequel as well. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof will write the film.
