Burt Reynolds Will Play Himself on Archer

When the FX animated show Archer returns in 2012, the main character Sterling Archer will get to meet one of his idols: Burt Reynolds.

Reynolds will be playing himself as a guest star when the show comes back early next year. He will start dating Malory Archer, which Sterling is not fond of, especially since Sterling is a huge fan of Reynolds.

The creator of Archer, Adam Reed, says, “Archer constantly tries to imitate Burt and always raves about Burt’s movies and all-around awesomeness. So to have Burt recording voice-overs for the show was just amazing.”

Reynolds has done voices for several animated shows in the past, including American Dad!, King of the Hill and Out of this World.
