Chieftains Announce New Album, Tour Details

Grammy-winning Irish folk musicians The Chieftains will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a new album full of collaborations with the biggest names in indie rock.

Voice of Ages, which will be released on Feb. 21, 2012, features bands like The Decemberists, The Civil Wars, The Low Anthem, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Punch Brothers, Pistol Annies and Bon Iver on the traditional Irish folk album. The Chieftains are used to working with popular bands. Throughout their six-time Grammy award-winning career, they have worked with Sting, Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones. The album will be produced by T Bone Burnett.

In support of their upcoming album, the band will also embark on an American tour starting in February and running through March. Check out the dates below.
