Feist, Mastodon to Cover Each Other on Single

Was this what Leslie Feist was hinting at when she named her latest album Metals? The Broken Social Scene collaborator and solo artist will take a stab at covering a Mastodon song, and the Atlanta metal band will cover a Feist song for an upcoming single.

Pitchfork points out the announcement came from an MTV News Canada interview, where Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders said the group would work with Feist on a split 7” single for next year’s Record Store Day. You can watch MTV Canada’s interview with Sanders below.
